Karen Clark Karen Clark is certified as a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional (LEED-AP) by the U.S. Green Building Council. With her understanding of LEED requirements, criteria and certification process, Karen is able to assist clients with LEED-related issues from development and value-added redevelopment, to construction and leasing. Prior to practicing law, Clark worked for Arvida/JMB Partners, LP and was a research analyst with Robert Charles Lesser & Co. in Atlanta, Georgia. She earned her J.D. Degree from the University of Florida and dual undergraduate degrees in Economics and Communications from Florida State University. Karen Clark has over ten years of experience representing developers, business owners, hospitals, landlords, tenants and investors in all aspects of acquisition, disposition, leasing and development of retail, office, industrial, medical office, residential and mixed-use developments. Her experience in real estate development, land use, entitlements, financing and sustainability, both in the development and operation of a variety of asset types, enables her to creatively address client needs and effect efficient transactions.
Suzanne Schaffer
Suzanne Schaffer is a seasoned attorney who focuses on commercial real estate development, finance, commercial leasing and general corporate law. During her career, she has represented numerous clients, including, among others, developers, partnerships, investors and lenders.
She earned her J.D. Degree from the University of Akron School of Law, magna cum laude, in 1996 after attending Miami University of Ohio. Following law school graduation, Suzanne worked for two years with a federal bankruptcy judge in Ohio. Thereafter she joined the Cincinnati, Ohio law firm of Frost Brown Todd. In 2002, Suzanne relocated to Charlotte, North Carolina and joined the law firm of Moore & Van Allen PLLC, where she became a partner in 2006.
